In March 2024, Transe Express reached a crucial work step for their next creation, DNA. Dedicated to choreographic technique and climbing, this phase saw the entire company in full swing, celebrating the progress made.
Inspired by the world of mountaineering and climbing, the artists explored vertical dance and plunging into the void. They practiced dizzying jumps up to 40 meters. We can expect a show combining aerial acrobatics, original opera/techno/hip hop music, and daring dives.
The troupe consists of 7 musicians and 7 acrobats, including climbers/voltigeurs, vertical dancers, hoop acrobats, a rope artist, lyrical singers, and percussionists, each adding an extra dimension to this already majestic structure.
This project, the result of 2.5 years of work, will resume in September with costume production, followed in October by a week-long residency at CNAREP Le Parapluie d’Aurillac to rehearse the choreography with all troupe members (lighting, musicians, acrobats, singers).
The preview will take place on April 3, 2025, at La Gare à Coulisses, followed by the first performances at the Imaginarius festival in late May 2025 in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, and the Les Années Joué festival in Joué-lès-Tours.
